rtems-980921 is available

DATE: Mon Sep 21 11:44:24 CDT 1998

I have cut the 980921 snapshot and have placed it in
/oarcorp/private/beta3 on ftp.oarcorp.com.

The current big failure is that I can't build pc386. :(

These are left over from 980911:

  + i386-rtemself:
    - force386: setvec.c: 25:
structure has no member named `offset_16_31'
    - pc386:
  + i386-rtems:
    - force386: same failure as in i386-rtemself
  + i386-go32-rtems:
    - go32: cpuModel.S:27:
Error: Alignment too large: 15 assumed
    - go32_p5: Same as go32

Outstanding problems:

+ -r versus -e on cygwin. Let me know what to do.
We are not doing anything about this one.
+ I have a report of a race condition in termios.
+ Tool patches changing file timestamps and forcing things to build.
  + newlib 1.8.1
+ i386ex BSP does not run tests
+ m68k memory routine forced in (Chris' problem)

Changes since the last snapshot:

+ Fixed typo in cfsetispeed(). (Eric N)
+ Fixed rtems_termios_open so args->iop->data1 is set before calling
  device-specific open routine. (Eric N)
+ i386ex BSP update (Erik I)
+ ColdFire in_cksum.c (David F/Eric N)
+ miscellaneous pc386 BSP fixes
    - switched console back to COM2 (Eric V)
    - missing patches for pc386 merged (Eric V/Aleksey)
    - added README (Emmanuel)

I would like to think we are finally on the downhill side of publicly
releasing 4.0.
