HTML posters, please read this

The number of posts in HTML seems to be increasing on this list and
others. I am now sufficiently annoyed that I have decided to voice my
complaints.

My problem is that my mail client does understand HTML! If it did not,
it would decode the plain text mime enclosure, and I would be happy.
However, it does read the HTML mime enclosure, and decodes it right! The
problem with a lot of posting is that the font is set too small in the
message!

I and others at work have observed that all such postings come from
Microsoft Outlook (more Microsoft bashing?). Those of you using Outlook,
if you insist on posting HTML, please set your preferences to not send
font size smaller than Normal (3). I am guessing that the default in
Outlook is too shrink the font, as in this extract where size=2 instead
of 3:

  <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
  <HTML><HEAD>
  <META content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv=Content-Type>
  <META content="MSHTML 5.00.2014.210" name=GENERATOR>
  <STYLE></STYLE>
  </HEAD>
  <BODY bgColor=#ffffff>
  <DIV><FONT size=2>My embedded system running RTEMS needs to access its
host's...

Or better yet, set up your address books so that you post only plain
text to mailing lists.

I should not have to increase my default HTML font size for your posts.
I get mail from others that is ok, and I surf the Web just fine with my
current default size.

If I can't read it, I thrash it.
