Any comments on gcc-2.95.1?

The GCC-2.95.1 release comments note:

Platform-Specific Fixes:
  ...
  + Fix various aborts in the SH compiler. 
  + Fix bugs in libgcc support library for the SH. 

Any comments on advantages/disadvantages of building RTEMS for SH-2 with
2.95.1? Otherwise it looks like I ought to patch 'egcs' sources to always
disable 'braf' instruction generation (Ref. egcs-bugs, 25 Mar 1999,
T.Morita): not very confidence-inspiring. Any comments on that, either?
