I had similar problems using the patch program that comes with Solaris 2.5. I
had to install the GNU patch program, version 2.5.
To OAR: hopefully, you are collecting these types of tidbits and will upgrade
the documentation. I am willing to help with the documentation, to the best of
my ability and knowledge.
A searchable archive of the posts to the mailing list would also be beneficial.
