RTEMS 19991028 is Available
This is to announce the availability of RTEMS-19991028.
This snapshot is another big step in the move toward a release. Some
big news since 19991011:
+ now includes a port of the GoAhead web server
+ RPMs for tools appear to be just around the corner
+ executable sizes should be smaller.
I sincerely am trying to tidy up things for a release. Honestly, I
would love to see the move to GNU standards complete before a release
but I don't see how it can happen. This desire (plus the continuing
influx of nice improvements) is why I keep pushing. I am sure you have
noticed the port of other tools to RTEMS. I would like to get a handle
on these before a release and make sure we can't make them even
easier to build.
I am sure there are things I have forgotten to merge or otherwise include
in this snapshot. Please let me know if there is anything missing and I
will take care of it.
I am very sure the the Outstanding Issues section has items in it which
should be considered closed. If you can let me drop something off this
list, please tell me it is closed to your satisfaction.
