problem building from CVS on FreeBSD

That's really odd. The ftp.rtems.com autotools are vanilla
autoconf-2.57 and vanilla automake-1.7.2 (minimum version for 4.6) rsp.
vanilla automake-1.7.6 (minimum version for the snapshots)
without any changes applied.
