about the thread state:

Hi,i think a thread has five basic states:
ready, dormant, suspended, transient and
blocked. is it right?
what these states mean?
ready: the thread can compete the cpu with
       other thread;
dormant: the state after the thread has been
         initialized and before start;
but the suspended, transient and blocked
state, i do not understand them well.
can you help me?
