SMC LAN91C111 Driver

Has anyone used the SMC LAN91C111 network driver with anything other  
than the SPARC processor for which the driver was written?   The FPGA  
development boards I'm using with my UCDIMM ColdFire 5282 cards have  
one of these NICs and I'd like to see how things work.
The driver itself seems like it would be easy to adapt to a different  
platform, but if bit-rot has set in there may be more work than I  
have time.
