Build problems with rtems 4.7 under Ubuntu 7.04

Hello List,

I'm having some problems switching from Windows to Ubuntu for building.  I
had the ability to build working rtems BSPs under Cygwin, but when I moved
over to  Linux (where I am normally more comfortable) I have been unable
to reproduce my previous successes.

I build a toolchain (gcc-4.1.2+newlib-1.15, binutils-2.17) with patches
from the rtems website, and all appears well.
