Transferring code from Host to BSP

I've been reading the intro doc's and looking for the mechanism used to 
transfer your application code from the host to the BSP, after being built.

I probably overlooked the doc, but could someone tell me.

My host is linux, the BSP is a generic X86, Pentium III.
