toolchain versions for CVS head?

Currently, on PowerPC/virtex, I'm using bcc-4.1.1, binutils-2.17,
newlib1.15, all from ftp.rtems.com, and gdb-6.5 (from Xilinx EDK
tools).  I haven't had any problems with these under Cygwin for 4.7.99.2.

Probably will consider updating my tools when 4.8 is released...  But of
course, the OP should probably go with your recommendations...

Just my $0.02, adjusted for inflation or other currencies, as needed...
