Ralf, I am using (successfully :)) RTEMS since 1996. At that time there was no 
rpm support and since that I downloaded tgz/rpms and unpack them manually, 
putting into the required directories.

OK, I understand now that it is so importand. I shall spent some time to 
rebuild everything with rpms to return to the "main stream"...:)
