configure command line in installed directories?

Hi,

Robert Grimes had the question, how he can find out the "configure" 
command line, that was used to build RTEMS. We could help him. AFAIK the 
relevant information can be retrieved from some files inside the build 
directory, but:

It can't be determined from the installed files. So, if somebody deletes 
the build directory (or has no access to it), this information seems to 
be lost.

Wouldn't it be nice to have that information written to one of the 
installed files? This might also help during lots of support questions 
here...
