How do I turn off optimisation when building?

Hi all

What is the correct way to turn off optimisation when building RTEMS?

Specifically, the make/custom/*.cfg files have a parameter called
CFLAGS_OPTIMIZE_V - how do I control whether this is added to the gcc
invocation?
