MPI on RTEMS

Is there anyone that knows if there has ever been a port of MPI
to RTEMS.  MPI (Message Passing Interface) is a specification 
for a standard library for message passing.  A free implementation
called MPICH(MPICH2) is available for several platforms from Mississippi 
State University and Argonne National Laboratory.  

If anyone knows if some work has already been done in this area
I would appreciate the information.
