Error from ampolish3

Hi,

I have (tried to!) added some device drivers to a BSP (ERC32) and wanted
to isolate the IO control to a HW API. So the application would just
need to include the header and all will be well. Once I realised I
needed to regenerate preinstall.am I used bootstrap -p however I
encountered the following error:

Can't do setuid (cannot exec sperl)

Has anyone got an clue where the error is coming from?

The pain comes from the fact that it has trashed the old .am before
creating a new one leaving me .am less!
