Patch(es) to be applied to RTEMS distribution packages

Hi to all,
hmmm a newbie question but it comes to my mind each time I have to recompile the kernel :=) In fact that's a general "package" question.

There are many *.diff patches in the SRC directory of the RTEMS ftp site.

For example for newlib-1.15.0:
newlib-1.15.0-rtems4.8-20070202.diff
newlib-1.15.0-rtems4.8-20070208.diff
newlib-1.15.0-rtems4.8-20070316.diff
newlib-1.15.0-rtems4.8-20070413.diff
newlib-1.15.0-rtems4.8-20070804.diff
newlib-1.15.0-rtems4.8-20070912.diff
newlib-1.15.0-rtems4.8-20071221.diff

Should ALL the patches be applied or should I just take the most recent one ?
