Hi,
during testing of the qemuppc BSP I hit some fata exceptions. Since the
standard exception handler in
c/src/lib/libcpu/powerpc/new-exceptions/bspsupport/vectors_init.c
performs printk("...Press Reset button..."), many systems may hang in
case of a unexpected, non-recoverable exception.
Wouldn't it make more sense to issue a BSP_panic in these cases? The BSP
should have a better idea what to do in thse cases, e.g. wait for a
pushbutton reset, force an automatic reset, force a system shutdown or
whatever is appropriate.
Any ideas? any opinions?
wkr,
Thomas.
