Why do I need to patch the standard sources for RTEMS ?

RTEMS may require patches to the current sources. This can be the result of bugs being found after the release, a submitted patch not being accepted in time for a release or not accepted for technical reasons.

RTEMS maintainers attempt to submit suitable patches to the package maintainers. Patches tend to take time to feed into a release. The ideal is RTEMS does not need patches and this is what we are tring to achieve.
